Chairman’s Notation
Once again a successful event with approximately the same number of images entered as last
year, the number of actual entrants was lower which would be a reflection on our society's
membership decline. The current requirement for Australian acceptances in Honours
application is obviously encouraging newer members to participate in our National Exhibitions.
This is a good sign indeed.
We received a number of comments from our judges. There was an exceptional standard of
work submitted by many entrants this year which were a pleasure to view. Unfortunately we had
a small number of images that did not comply to the rules of the exhibition. A few images
submitted to the Photo Travel section were deemed to be composites. These images were
marked down and failed to gain acceptance. It is important that we all abide by the rules,
thereby ensuring a level playing field for everyone.
In closing I would like to express the Digital Division's appreciation to our small committee and
our dedicated judges, for without their participation these events would not be possible.
