SEEEC paragraph structure–
How to organize a body paragraph
effectively
Breakdown each paragraph into a minimum of five sentences.
Each one fulfills the task of the following acronym.
S- topic sentence which introduces argument and what you will
say about it
E- explanation of the argument and topic sentence
E-
Evidence–this is your footnote and the evidence you use
whether it be a quotation, a statistic, or you paraphrase someone’s
ideas.
E-
Explanation–analyze and explain the evidence, showing how
it proves your argument
C- Conclude–in this sentence you conclude and tie back to your
thesis.
*****make sure that each sentence within the paragraph follows
the previous—do not return until you are ready to start a new
paragraph****
Make sure you avoid using personal pronouns (I, you)
Now, start writing your essay. Make sure you have your essay
map available. Take the information and put it into sentence form
in the corresponding paragraph

in sentences following each other, forming a paragraph.
