Carmen has a unique combination of theory, varied personal work experience and practice. Recently appointed to the Board of the AASB (Australian Accounting Standards Board), Carmen is also a member of the ICAA (Institute of Chartered Accountants Australia) and the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales. She was an external auditor for 9 years in both Australia and the UK, working for one of the ‘big 4’ accounting firms prior to working in and running the technical divisions of 3 major accounting firms. Carmen runs her own business Australian Financial Reporting Solutions, an independent consulting firm offering financial reporting and auditing training and advice.
A regular industry speaker, Carmen lectures for CPA Australia on a variety of topics. Carmen is an
