Add a Course Link to Your Course Content
This How-To will outline the steps needed to add a course link to your course content. Course links can
be very beneficial to consolidate groups of content and assignments. This consolidation can help
students stay organized.
1. Select Content from the navigation bar.
2. Create a new module by typing the name of your new module in the Add a Module… text box
located at the bottom of the left side navigation and press Enter. (Note: Skip this step if you
already have a module created where you would like the link to reside.)
3. In your new module, select Add Existing Activities and select the course tool where your
assignment or activity resides. For demonstration purposes, we will link to a Dropbox, but the
process is identical for any course tool.

4. Select the tool where your assignment or activity resides and then select your assignment or
activity from that tool.
5. By default, the course link will copy the description you have already created for your
assignment or activity, if your assignment or activity had no prior description, select the right
dropdown arrow next to your new link and select Edit Properties In-Place.
6. Select Add a description…
