Ort Braude College of Engineering The Council for Higher Education discussed the evaluation reports of the Committee for the Evaluation of Electrical and Electronic Engineering Study Programs and noted its findings. Following the general evaluation of the EE field, the Council decided to adopt a series of recommendations that refer to all institutions that offer EE study programs, as mentioned above. In addition, the Council decided to adopt some of the specific recommendations appearing in the Ort Braude College of Engineering report, amongst which are the following recommendations in order of importance: The institution must: 1. Decrease the scope of the final project and use the remaining time to broaden the theoretical background of the students. The final project is too large and the committee doubts its efficiency and contribution to the students. 2. Decrease the number of adjunct faculty. Currently 50% of the teaching is conducted by adjunct teachers. 3. Urgently add an advanced teaching lab in communications. The institution is requested to implement the abovementioned steps and to submit within two years a report specifying the measures that are being taken or have been taken for implementing these recommendations, as well as other issues that emerge from the committee's report or the evaluation process as a whole.
