Organism
A group of similar cells that work together
to perform a specific function.
Organ
System
A structure composed of two or more
tissue types that work together to perform
a specific function.
Cell
A group of organs that work together to
sustain the life of a multi-cellular organism.
Organ
A complete unit of life capable of
reproduction- may be unicellular or
multicellular.
Levels of Organization in Living Things
Directions:
1. Arrange the cards in order from smallest (basic) level organization to largest.
2. Match each card to a picture and a description.
3. Once you know you are correct, fill the levels into the triangle.
4. Look at the packet of human examples on your table. Do the Level of Organization matching
activity on the back of this sheet. Try to use a different color for each one.
5. Research your own example. Fill it in on the right side of the triangle with drawings if possible.
