Inside Technical Sales Representative – Controls

MedgarLCi is a lighting agency based in the Southwest Ontario market established in 1968. We are committed to

surroundings.
We have an immediate opening for an entry level Inside Technical Sales Representative based in our Burlington,
ON office. The successful candidate will report to the head of the quotations and controls departments and be
responsible for providing support to our inside and outside sales team as well as our clients for all lighting controls
products that MedgarLCi represents. This will involve completing project take-offs, preparing project quotations,
technical submittals and one line and wiring diagrams and project management. The ideal candidate will be
outgoing, have proven ability to meet deadlines and have strong analytical and organizations skills. Opportunities

Responsibilities:

Receive client calls and emails for lighting controls related to project quotations, order status and problem
resolution
Build an in-depth understanding of the lighting controls products represented by MedgarLCi
Work with the inside quotes department to provide project take-offs for lighting controls
Provide technical drawings and information to clients relating to controls orders
Assist inside quotations department in providing lighting quotations
Provide project management necessary for all controls related orders
Provide onsite control system commissioning, troubleshooting and training.
Requirements:

Electrical/Electronic Engineering Diploma from a 3yr accredited college.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Proficient with Microsoft Office products
Strong organizational and multi-tasking skills
Minimum of college level Autocad course. Additional Autocad courses or work experience will be
considered an asset
Experience in an electrical engineering firm or electrical contracting company will be considered an asset.
Required to have a valid driver’s license. The successful candidate shall be required to provide proof that
s/he has a valid driver’s license upon being hired. Reimbursement for company related mileage will be
provided.
Successful candidate must be eligible for or hold a valid passport. Occasional travel will be required for
product training.
