File E140503 Vol. 1 Sec. 4 and Report Page 2 Issued: 11-26-96 Conditions of Acceptability - When installed in the end-use equipment, the following are among the considerations to be made: 1. The power supply shall be installed in compliance with the marking, enclosure, mounting, spacing, casualty and segregation requirements of the ultimate application. 2. Consideration should be given to measuring the temperatures on power electronic components and transformer/choke windings when the power supply is installed in the end-use equipment. The transformers/ chokes comply with Class 130°C limits. 3. This power supply has been judged on the basis of the required spacings in the Fourth Edition of the Standard for Power Supplies, Par. 26 and Tables 26.2. 4. All Normal and Abnormal Tests were conducted using a 230 V, 1 phase, 50 Hz supply source and a Listed or R/C (JDYX2) 4A time delay fuse, provided with the unit. 5. The need for and suitability of the strain relief mechanisms shall be determined. The R/C (QCRV2) bushings, Type ST11, made by Lapp UI GmbH were not evaluated for strain relief. 6. These power supplies are intended for use only in a controlled environment. The enclosures provided shall be evaluated for such use in the end application, if necessary. 7. The units nameplate ratings should be evaluated for accuracy (if relevant) in the end use application, based on secondary loading.
