Evaluation
The teachers will ask the students in the class to brake up into groups of four. Each
group will need to assign a fourth of the vocabulary words to each group member.
Each group member will need to add their assigned words and definitions onto
their group’s Wridea.com page. This assignment will take approximately two
weeks, ending with a vocabulary test.
 Students will learn how to use Wridea.com as a group organizational tool.
 Students will work together and help each other reach understanding of
the vocabulary words.
 The students will practice getting each task done its due date.
The teachers will ask the students to have:
 A computer with internet access
 A Wridea.com account
 A Wridea.com group page
 A list of vocabulary words to be studied.
 Sources to find all the definitions of the vocabulary words
The teachers will ask the students to:
1) Evenly distribute vocabulary words to each member of the group
2) Create a group page on Wridea.com and add all of the members to the
page
3) Each member must add their portion of the vocabulary words with
definitions to their group page by the given due date.
4) Once all of the words and definitions have been added, all students must
study the words by the time of the test.
Principle of Biology
B.1: Students work with the concepts, principles, and theories that enable them
to understand the living environment. They recognize that living organisms are
made of cells or cell products that consist of the same components as all other
matter, involve the same kinds of transformation of energy, and move using the
same kinds of basic forces. Students investigate, through laboratories and
fieldwork, how living things function and how they interact with one another and
their environment.
The students will evaluate each group members’ performance. The students will
be evaluated on their ability to work with all group members. The students will
also be evaluated on the quality of work they have shown through defining the
vocabulary words. The students will take a vocabulary exam at the end of the
section and will be evaluated on the quality of the definitions written for each
word on the exam.
