The Brigade Story
A generation ago an icon was born. A new range was introduced that created a whole
new category of kitchen appliances. This iconic range revolutionized the home appliance
industry, and kitchens have never been the same.
That range was invented at Viking Range Corporation in Greenwood, Mississippi, and over
the past 25 years, the company has continuously introduced innovative ultra-premium
appliances, backed by a commitment to quality, that resonated with passionate home chefs
around the world.
In 2013, a totally new brand created exclusively for Canada is born from that distinguished
lineage. Quality has a new name in Canada and that name is Brigade.
Brigade is the term coined by Chef Auguste Escoffier in the early 1900’s to describe a method
of improved functionality in the modern commercial kitchen. Referring to a system of
kitchen organization in which all tasks are clearly defined to ensure disciplined order and
performance, Brigade is the perfect name for this new brand of appliances made exclusively
for cooking enthusiasts in Canada.
Built for those who cook often and with a passion, the Brigade brand of home appliances,
from ranges to refrigerators to outdoor grills, and everything in between, brings the same
power, performance and design integrity that Canadians have come to expect from
