The Department of Electrical & Computer Engineering and Computer Science (ECECS) in
the Tagliatela College of Engineering at the University of New Haven invite applications for
a non-tenure track assistant professor position in the area of Computer Engineering. The
expected starting date is January 2nd, 2015. The successful candidate will be expected to
teach graduate and undergraduate courses in Electrical or Computer engineering and
engage students in a fulfilling engineering design experience.
Required qualifications:





Ph.D. in electrical or computer engineering is required. Candidates with interests in
broader areas of communications/DSP and microwaves and antennas are
preferred. Ph.D. in Computer Engineering with emphasis in digital design/VLSI and
microcontrollers will also be preferred.
Evidence of potential for excellence in teaching at both undergraduate and graduate
levels.
Evidence of scholarly activities showing currency in their field.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills and commitment to collegiality and
teamwork.
Authorization to work in the U.S.
Responsibilities:



Teach graduate and undergraduate courses in the areas outlined above.
Supervise student projects and thesis.
Participate in industry sponsored projects for students, and service to the
department, college, and the university.
Duration of Appointment: The positions are one-year appointments with the possibility of
extension based on the need of the department and the interest of the candidates. The
salary will be competitive in the field.
