Justification In the fall of 2006, the Board of Regents changed the name of the department from the Department of Special Education to the Inclusive Education Department. At that time, the faculty voted to change the prefixes of all courses listed in the various programs of student from EXC or EDUC to INED. The change in prerequisite is needed due to the recent approval of the MAT in TESOL. Because the current graduate catalog was written prior to approval of the MAT in TESOL by the Georgia Professional Standards Commission.
