Goal 1: Develop a simplified/streamlined
approach to developing instructional leaders
throughout FCHS via the following:
1. Establish a planning process for all
school improvement initiatives
2. Clarify our instructional &
organizational missions while aligning
them to FCS Learner Profile
3. Develop a set of universal (FCHS)
standards & common vocabulary for
classroom & organizational
effectiveness

The following are supports needed to be successful on
both Goals # 1 and #2:
Academics & Accountability
 Continued training for interpreting CCRPI
results.
 Continued training for understanding and
developing strategies for Achievement Gap
Reductions.
 Continued training for understanding Student
Growth Percentiles & Student Learning
Objectives.
 Continued sharing of information from GA DOE
so that proactive measures can be taken to
prepare teachers, staff, and families.
 Development of internal system to collect
CCRPI data that could be used to cross-check
state-published results.
 Provide requisite training and certification for
aspiring leaders to facilitate, coordinate, and
assist with various state exams.

Goal 2: The establishment of the following
School Improvement Teams, each responsible
for utilizing the planning process referenced in
Goal #1:

 Assist with staffing, hiring and dismissal help to
ensure a highly qualified staff.
 Provide research-based teacher retention
strategies.
 Continued support with TKES & LKES
implementation.
Educational Leadership
 Provide leadership strategies & resources for
enhanced training of administrators & teachers
in school leadership.
Facilities & Operations
 Provide opportunities for input from FCHS
administrators & staff regarding new
construction and renovations.
School Safety and Discipline
 Continued training to develop more highlytrained leaders in the event of on-campus
crises.
Public Information and Communications
 Continue to assist with the dissemination of
positive FCHS results.
 Provide strategies & assistance for continued
“brand-enhancement” of FCHS.
Special Education
 Continued staff development on instructional
strategies, particularly as it relates to co-taught
environments.
Student Support Services
 Continued support of staff and professional
learning related to students with social &
emotional needs
 Professional development for staff & parent
awareness training regarding current issues
such social media, bullying, etc.

Technology and Information Services
 Development of internal system to collect

 Continued support for training and strategies to
make best use of ITS Learning.
 Continued technological support for testing
coordinators.
Transportation
 Continued positive communication regarding
issues affecting student transportation.
 Development of driver communications training
to assist with difficult parent conversations.
Goal 3: Enhance the climate / improve the
culture by establishing the Forsyth Central
Legacy Fund through three organizations:
1. Forsyth Central Academic Boosters
(F-CAB)
2. FCHS Partners In Education Program
3. Forsyth Central Alumni Association
(FCAA)

Using Results for Continuous Improvement
Public Information and Communications
 Identify methods of celebrating FCHS 60th
Anniversary.
 Continue to assist with identifying Partners In
Education.
 Continue to assist with development of positive
media relationships.
