the most effective IEPs are where the parent, the student, and
the school staff collaborate to write an individual plan to help
the student succeed in school.

Identify what you need to know when applying for
Supplemental Security Income (SSI) and annual
responsibilities once you're accepted. Hear from a
representative that advocates and mentors adults with
disabilities.
Jill Sloan, Consultant, will share an overview about the
post-secondary program at KSU, entry requirements, how
to prepare the future college student for success while in
high school, expectations of students enrolled in the
program and post-secondary outcomes. A representative
from Vocational Rehabilitation will be available to answer
any questions about their support with post-secondary
programs.
Vocational Rehabilitation is a program for individuals
with disabilities who are willing and able to work - who
might also need assistance in fulfilling their vocational
goals. Services vary by the need of the individuals and the
goals they hope to achieve. Hear from the counselors who
contract with FCS and support our students.
