Know that line is used in hatching and cross hatching to show value Understand the difference between parallel and perpendicular lines Value Shading, lights and darks Understand a value scale, understand the change of values in a shaded ball Understand how to show value without stroke marks and with an even transition of change Understand that value gives a sense of 3 dimensions to an object drawn on a 2 dimensional surface Understand how the position of a light source relates to the shading and shadows of a shaded object. III. Shape/Space/Composition Understand the difference between positive and negative space Understand the most interesting way to arrange objects within a picture.
