NOTIFICATION OF RED TAG PLACEMENT ON WHEELCHAIRS
Dear Parents,
We are teaming up with the transportation department to ensure that our children are
transported in the safest way possible. We would like to expedite wheelchair
modifications/repair, address positioning needs and child/wheelchair securement changes
in the most efficient manner possible.
For those of you who have children who sit in wheelchairs or strollers for the bus ride, in
the next month or so, you will be seeing thin red tags attached to your child’s wheelchair
or stroller frame. Please keep these tags on your child’s wheelchair. They mark the
strong points of the frame to which the school bus tiedown straps should be secured.
Remember that your input is very important to us. Please feel free to contact the physical
therapist at your child’s school if you have any questions at all about your child’s
physical therapy plan, positioning, comfort or safety.
