Program Title: OT Students: How to Plan or Expand a Fieldwork Student Experience

Course Description: Does it seem that having a fieldwork student takes up too much of your
time? This session will discuss how to plan and structure a fieldwork experience to minimize
your direct time and engage students in projects that are important but you don’t have time for.
Varied supervisory models, like having two students work together can actually decrease your
direct time while enhancing their learning. Fieldwork supervision does take time, but it also
offers opportunities to match your expertise with their energy and time to enhance programs and
services for your clients.
