Parliamentary Entitlements Act 1990 INSTRUMENT OF AUTHORISATION APPROVAL OF OFFICE REFURBISHMENTS I, MATHIAS CORMANN, Special Minister of State, acting under the Parliamentary Entitlements Act 1990 (‘the Act’) AUTHORISE the persons from time to time holding, occupying or performing the duties of an office specified in the Schedule below, to exercise my power: 1. to approve electorate office refurbishments up to and including a value of $20,000 (exclusive of GST), under sub-item 7(1), Part 1, Schedule 1 to the Act (Item 7); 2. to approve capital city office refurbishments for Opposition Office Holders, Presiding Officers and leaders of minority parties up to and including a value of $20,000 (exclusive of GST), under item 5, Part 2, Schedule 1 to the Act (Item 5). This instrument revokes and replaces all previous instruments that authorise a person or persons to exercise the Special Minister of State’s powers under Item 7 or Item 5 to the Act, to approve electorate office refurbishments and capital city office refurbishments for Opposition Office Holders, Presiding Officers and leaders of minority parties.
