Also, please make sure that they return their books on time. Thank you, Mrs. Bezemek Dates to Remember February 3 – Our class goes to the Book Fair in the library🔰 February 9 – Family night at Peter Piper Pizza 🍕 Reading– Students will: identify and use common words that are opposite (antonyms) or similar (synonyms) in meaning. Analyze, and evaluate information within texts from a variety of cultures and historical periods. Identify the topic and explain the author's purpose in writing the text. Recognize different purposes of media. Gather evidence for research from available sources and record in a simple visual format. Math – Students will: Explain that the February 12 – Valentine Dance February 17 – District Closure NO School length of a bar in a bar graph or the number of pictures in a pictograph represents the number of data points for a given category. Organize a collection of data with up to four categories. Write and solve one-step word problems involving addition or subtraction using data represented within pictographs and bar graphs. Identify governmental services in the community and describe how governments tax citizens to pay for services. Science- explore the processes in the water cycle, including evaporation, condensation, and precipitation, as connected to weather conditions.
