Please encourage your child to read their library books each week as they
are taking tests about the books on the Accelerated Reading computer
program. Also, please make sure that they return their books on time.

Reading– Students will: identify and
use common words that are opposite
(antonyms) or similar (synonyms) in
meaning.
Analyze, and evaluate information
within texts from a variety of cultures
and historical periods. Identify the
topic and explain the author's purpose
in writing the text.
Recognize different purposes of
media.
Gather evidence for research from
available sources and record in a
simple visual format.
Math – Students will: Explain that the
