Volume Project
Fall 2008
For the following project, you may use any materials. These must be your own original creations.
Construct a non-rectangular right prism.
Construct a right pyramid with a base that matches the base of your prism.
You will show these to your instructor.
Prepare the following on paper to turn in to your instructor:
A drawing or photo of your prism and pyramid with all dimension measurements clearly labeled.
Determine the volume and surface area of each. Use centimeters as your linear measure and measure
all dimensions to the nearest whole centimeter. Show all of your work in a neat and organized fashion.
Label your answers with correct units. Round your final answers to the nearest 0.1 centimeter.
