Transport By:Darren Charles Types • There are two types of transport, active and pass transport. • The difference is that active transport uses energy and passive doesn't. Passive • The simplest form of passive transport is diffusion. • Diffusion is when molecules move from high concentration. • Diffusion completely uses kinetic energy. Active • There are 2 types of active transport, there is the sodium-potassium pump and endo/exocytosis. Sodium-Potassium Pump • The pump is when the cell exchanges sodium for potassium. Endocytosis/Exocytosi s • Endocytosis is when the cell ingest external fluid, macromolecule, and large particles including other cells. • Exocytosis is the reverse of endocytosis, it exports stuff. Questions • 1. How many way is there for transport? • 2. What is the passive transport? • 3. What is one way of active transport? • 4. What is the other way of active transport? Gallery Answers • 1. 2 passive and active • 2. Diffusion • 3. Sodium-potassium pump • 4. Endocytosis/Exocytosis
