Extra Credit: Current Event Instructions
Search the Internet for a current event article which pertains to a current subject or topic
being covered in class. Please use an international source (e.g. a website outside of the United
States). Find and read your article, making sure that it is directly related to current class
material.
For example, depending on what we are currently learning in class, your summary may
be about a currently published article about digital literacy, word processing, desktop publishing,
spreadsheets, presentations, or about an Exploring Career Decisions topic (a particular career, the
future job market, equity in the workplace, etc.).
In MLA style, write a three-paragraph summary of the article, using Microsoft Word.
Include in this document why this article pertains to the current lesson. You should also cite the
reference from which you got the article.
When complete, print one copy of your Document. You should also print ONE PAGE of
the current event you are summarizing.
