Even though I was born a slave and now I am a free man, I would say
I’ve done pretty well in my life.

Today I devised many products from cotton waste and extracted
blue, purple and red pigments from CLAY!
My efforts to improve the economy of the South included the
teaching of soil improvements and the diversification of crops.
Today I did one of my favorite things, I learned more
about flowers, animals and birds. I didn’t realize
there was so many kinds! I finished my adventure!

except blacks, and now im teaching at Tuskegee!
