Speakers
• Equipment attached to the
computer to play sound.
Monitor
• The part of the computer that
shows pictures from the CPU
onto a screen.
• Looks like a TV screen.
CPU
• CPU=Central Processing Unit
• It is the computer’s brain
• The part of the computer that
carries out the directions
given to the computer.
Keyboard
• Part of the computer with keys
used to enter data
Mouse
• Handheld part of the computer
that moves the cursor on the
screen.
Printer
• Printers are attached to
computers so information can be
printed onto paper
Headphones
• Attached to the computer so
only the user can hear the
sounds of the computer
Scanner
• Equipment attached to the
computer that copies pictures,
writing, posters, photos, etc.
• Turns the copies into digital
files so they can be stored on
the computer.
Digital Camera
• Works like a regular camera
except it makes digital files
of the pictures.
• Can be attached to the computer
so the photos can be downloaded
or printed.
