You decide to look at the scrapbook that contains the highlights of your illustrious career. You do not necessarily have to make a scrapbook, you may use any form of a visual presentation AS LONG AS you highlight the objectives listed below. You will also need to write a story about your gladiator or gladiatrix. Objective To learn about and demonstrate knowledge of gladiators, including their backgrounds, the different types, weapons and equipment (these should be in Latin), lifestyles, and the purpose of the games. Procedures and Requirements 1. Create a (paper or digital) presentation that addresses ALL the points below. Research carefully, because points will be lost for inaccurate or implausible information. Personal details: Your name. Date and place of birth. Type: what specific type of gladiator are you? What were your armor and weapons? Training: where did you train, how long, what did you do, who was your lanista? Fights: Where did you fight? How many fights per year? How long have you been fighting? Audience: Who came to see you? What were their social classes and attitudes towards gladiators? Reflection: Discuss the nature of politics and gladiatorial games – what purpose did the games serve for the emperors, the people, the Roman state? 2.
