Ideas your team has for
ways to provide feedback on
student IB progress
Meet as a whole staff
about reaching a
consensus about
reporting IB
feedback/SLC
process- bring
examples and/or
ideas
Level 1- Possibly the SLC
could be optional.
Something could be sent
with students to
communicate with parents.
Level 2-Electronic folders
with PDSA, did not know if a
parent night is still needed
because we can go digital
(and ongoing-not just a onetime meeting). Next yearpossibly create a video for
reflection or of the
conference
Other ideas-discuss as a
whole staff. There could be
a reflection/signature part
added to the rubric where
students show parents each
time they bring home an IB
rubric
Club approval for
activities/events
Martucci
Do club sponsors need to
follow the same SIT
procedures approval process
as school functions do?
Typically not.
Go through Mr.
Boula to arrange
activities and/or
events through
clubs.

Numerous parents
have voiced
concerns. According
to research
(occupational
therapist), they
should weigh no
more than 10% of
their body weight.
Most of those
surveyed were
between 18%-38%
of their body weight.
At the beginning of
the year we
explained how they
can just use one
notebook. Could we
get a chiropractor or
occupational
therapist come and
talk to our students
(possibly an early
release day) or an
informational
session?
How much homework
requires the internet?
Teachers have hard copies
or digital files available upon
request.
SIT members take
this info back to your
teams. Grade level
teams- create a list
of what should be in
the bookbags. Pick
a day to have
students clean out
the bookbags and
review the
expectation of having
only 1 binder a day,
and whatever else
the grade level team
agrees should be in
there.
We will communicate
to parents to go
through the
bookbags with
students as well to
clean them out and
clarify the
expectation.
