Dates to Remember: Fall Picture Day: October 7 Columbus Day (School Holiday): October 12 2. Don’t forget your Reading Logs!!!!! Each student has a Reading Log in the yellow Homework Folder. As students finish reading different kinds of books, please make sure they fill it out. It should stay in the yellow folder. Books read at home AND at school can be recorded on the logs. Students have until the end of October to read the ten highlighted types of books on the Log. Remember to set aside some time for reading on the weekends, too. 3. Thanks to all of the families who have joined the PTO so far this year! Please join- it’s only $10 and they do so much for our school! 4. If you read today’s Monday Memo on Monday, please draw a Sun next to your initials in the planner tonight. 5. Reflex and Dreambox were added to the homework planner last week. Please remember to have your child complete at least two sessions of Reflex (to the green light) and two, 20 minute sessions of Dreambox each week! Please let me know if you have a problem with either of these at home. Students created a special parent initial area in the planner for these sessions. I will not require what nights these sessions must be completed, only that they are completed during the week (Sun-Sat). I will monitor student completion from school. Students should not receive any parental support with these activities, as the programs are designed to pinpoint student needs and provide the necessary practice until the skill is mastered.
