Monday Memo Mrs. Kelly November 9, 2015 This week at school..... Reading –Fiction reading with a book of student's choice. Students will identify character, setting, problem & solution in the form of a Storywheel book report. Read every day at home and log completed books in your Reading Log for 2nd Quarter. Writing – Students will finish their Monster story and begin a persuasive friendly letter from a Jamestown settler to King James. New Word Study lists of words, new second quarter homework and a test on Friday Virginia Studies – Students will identify the reasons for English colonization, reasons why they chose their sight to establish the Jamestown colony, and identify the purpose of the English charters. Math - Students will solve 2 digit x 1 digit and 3 digit x 1 digit multiplication. Multiplication quiz on Friday. Math facts quizzes in Multiplication and Division will be given weekly, so practice math facts with Reflex. Reminders – Nov. 11- Veterans Day – Wear red, white and blue!/ Report cards sent home Nov. 12 - PTO Meeting: 3:00 in the library Nov. 17 - Book Fair at 10:00 in the library. 4th Grade Musical "The 13 Colonies" at 1:30 and 7:00 pm in the gym.
