3C’s Monday Memo

Announcements:
Math: This week we will reviewing math
concepts on Monday and Tuesday with a six
rotation to each third grade teacher – three on
Monday and three on Tuesday. Wednesday will
be some final review to prepare for the SOL math
test on Thursday at 8:15 am.
Memorizing math facts is very important in 3rd
grade. REFLEX has begun. User name is
kfedders and then students will need their birth
date month/date. Also, Dreambox can be
completed at home any day of the week and
allows your child to work at his/her level.
Social Studies: We will be working on the power
point team project and our
Reading: This week’s focus is released SOL
passages and questions. Also, students will be
playing games to practice skills and completing
Raz Kids.
Your child should have the Reading Log and Raz
Kids log in the homework binder for easy access
so you can monitor progression. Some students
have already completed the reading log!
Writer’s Workshop:.
This week we will continue writing
autobiographies.
FLE (Family Life Education) lesson: June 10th
at 1:30-2. At this time, I have 3 students opted
out form the beginning of the year forms. If your
child is opted out, he/she will either go to the
library or you can pick them up early.
SOL math am on May 26th
End of Year Awards and Writing Portfolio June
13th 10:30-11:20

Everything is included in one payment.
PE is on M, T & TH please be sure your child
has appropriate shoes. Please have your child
wear them to school – changing hasn’t been
working out.
If students have any games, performances,
meets, etc. they would like me to attend, please
send dates and times. I would love to see them
and will try to work it into my schedule. : )
If you have read this memo, print out a copy and
sign for your child. He/she will receive an extra
sticker for good behavior chart!!
