Once your quiz is completed pick up a new reading
packet. Read and take notes on page 80 “European
Explorers”, 83 “Rivalry over furs” and “Impact on
Native Americans.” Answer the Qs on pg. 80. Also,
create at least 2 discussion questions from the text.

globally.
There’s a need for a permanent labor force.
The more colonies that are established the more
wealth is generated, thus the need for more slaves.
African slavers are profiting greatly and receiving
European goods in exchange for slaves.

