DISCUSSION ITEMS
1.
Data warehouse reporting demo: Linda Post shared progress that has been made with the data warehouse
and associated reporting service. Discussion followed re reporting tools, report writers, and the future of the
Financials data warehouse.
2.
Parent portal: Meredith added some clarifications to the Overview document and discussed the potential
value of the parent portal to several units. Next step will be to create a development specification to hand off
to a technical team for analysis.
3.
CAFG – additional component: As an introduction item, Meredith shared a current business process that is
creating a roadblock to fully automating the degree checkout process. There is a backlog of course
substitutions that are not in PS and need to be there to complete a student’s record. Handling substitutions in
the current fashion prevents a more efficient use of the system. Meredith will gather information on the
number of substitutions that are not in the system and the amount of time it would take to catch up. Support
options will be evaluated after analyzing this information.
