TODAY’S OBJECTIVES:
SWBAT reflect upon creative elements and respond in a
critical manner.
AGENDA:
1. Complete grammar warmup #10 (SAT Practice). Turn
in warmups 6-10.
2. Read silently “Why Inequality is the Real
Cause of Our Ongoing Terrible Economy” by
Robert Reich and find similarities to Great
Gatsby.
3. Using a dictionary and/or thesaurus, choose one word
from Great Gatsby, its synonyms and antonym, part(s)
of speech, and use in sentence. Teach this word and
its proper usage to rest of class.
4. Introduce “The Jazz Age” from The Great
Gatsby.
HOMEWORK/UPCOMING DUE DATES:
1) Next reading quiz will be TOMORROW on
Gatsby Chapters 6-7.
2) Last set of ten Gatsby vocabulary words is due
TOMORROW.
3) Poetry recitations start next Wednesday, 2/17.
