TODAY’S OBJECTIVES:
SWBAT reflect upon creative elements and respond in a
critical manner.
AGENDA:
1. For notecard quiz, what detailed evidence does
Fitzgerald provide us to show that Gatsby is a
gangster? BE SPECIFIC; you need to prove
that you read and show that you can think.
2. Read selected passages from Ch. 4-5 and
discuss evidence of Gatsby’s character.
3. Using a dictionary and/or thesaurus, choose one word
from Great Gatsby, its synonyms and antonym, part(s)
of speech, and use in sentence. Teach this word and
its proper usage to rest of class.
HOMEWORK/UPCOMING DUE DATES:
1) Next reading quiz will be this Thursday on
Gatsby Chapters 6-7.
2) Last set of ten Gatsby vocabulary words is due
this Thursday, 2/11.
