SEED PROJECTS Frequently Asked Questions As this is the first year of seed projects, there are a number of issues that are arising as applications are being prepared. The following is a list of frequently asked questions on seed projects. This will be updated regularly as issues are brought to our attention. Q: How long can a seed project go for? A: Seed projects can run for a maximum of 12 months. Projects of longer duration will not be considered for funding. Q: Do I need to provide a timeline for my seed project? A: Yes, you need to provide a timeline for your seed project. This does not need to be in the same detail as you would for a full project but it is still necessary. This will not only help the assessors evaluate your proposal but will help you in your own planning. This can be as an attachment to your proposal. Q: Do I need to establish a reference group? No, it is not necessary to establish a reference group for a seed project. You are welcome to if you wish, but it is not a compulsory requirement. Q: Do I need to set aside funding for attendance at OLT event? A: No, you do not need to set aside funding for attendance at OLT events for seed projects. Q: Do I need to provide a budget for my seed project? Yes, as you are requesting access to Commonwealth funding, you still need to provide a full budget for all seed projects. Q: Do I need to provide a full financial acquittal for my seed project? Yes, you must fully acquit all funding received by the Commonwealth as you would for any other project. Q: Do I need to provide letters of support from senior officers, relief for teaching etc for seed project? A: Yes, you are required to provide all of the same letters of support for seed projects as you would for all other projects.
