Catalog Description: This course is a field-based experience designed to provide clinical
experience for teaching or administration majors. Each practicum shall be no less than the
minimum requirements set forth by state and accrediting agencies and must be met with
approval by the appropriate program personnel.

Complete a field visit with a leader in business, industry or human services
Attend and analyze a state, ISD and local school district board of education meeting
Conduct a staff evaluation
Complete an analysis of district performance data
Develop a comprehensive in-service plan
Conduct a field visit with a practicing special education administrator
Complete a major project with a focus on curriculum
Complete a major project with a focus on personnel
Complete selected typical administrative tasks:
District staffing plan
Written responses to communications and events
Analysis of a data set
Staff hiring interview
