Through advertising and invitation we solicited six potential bidders. Four of these six companies took the required site tour (pre-bid conference). We received and opened two bids before the public. The lowest responsible bidder was Xxxxxxx. Their proposal for $xx,xxx.xx which was $xx,xxx.xx less the proposed cost of the other bidder. The district has done work with Xxxxxx previously and the work was done to district standards. This installation of door controllers, key readers, and communicators is vital for the safety and protection of our students and our facility. I recommend the Contract for approval by the Board of Education and signature by the Board President per the Board Purchasing Policy.
