Evaluating the domestic work is one of the aims
of the time use survey and to be able to make a
good assessment by using the specialized substitute
method which allows an interesting representation
of « what should have been paid to get the work
done ».
And in order to choose the right profession that
we consider as a substitute to a particular
domestic, we must make the distinction between
the following activities:

Children care/ physical care, add the
following activities:
 Take a child to a doctor ( corresponding
profession: home aids , homemakers, family
workers).
Children medical care ( nurses).
Play with children ( leisure and cultural
moderators).

Decoration, maintenance, add the following
activities:
Moving
Repairs, installing computers

In terms of routes: take into consideration
the used mode and distinguish between routes.
Route from home to work by car.
Children routes .
Route to another household.
