Community Concerns/ Issue Exploration: (40mins)
- OMA/D (Dr. Gabe) is trying to figure out the Graduations
- Planning for ECC Reconstruction
o Nothing much except for the weekly updates within construction group
 Next meeting soon
o There is a blog site regarding the updates for the reconstruct

o We will be waiting for the murals to get into the building instead of visiting
 Put more money into the Raise the Roof Party
- UWPD Relocation
o Postponed because the Provost wants to be in on the committee
- Student Regent Selection Process
o Student Regent
 Only student voting regent
 Talk to students about what they want
 Vote on information and on student’s opinions on various topics
 Representing all three campuses
o Interview process right now
o 4 people applied but
 One person from UW, the rest are from elsewhere
 Regents need an understanding of what the student regent does
 Has some experience on working on a governing body
 Students should still reach out to the student regent
o The application is still out till Wednesday
 Undergrads can apply
o PACS
 Discussion on Differential tuition
 Remodel the PACS structure
 But lots of budget discussion right now!

Expansion on diversity
 More on non-traditional science degrees– learning how to expand on
that
o Student Safety
 212 students completed the survey
 split between all years
 most are from commuters
 safety audit on places on campus
 places that need worked on
o Ex: 49 streets lights have been dimmed – they have been fixed!

- Congrats on the group who had events this weekend
o Everything went well!
o Dr. Gabe gave workshops on Grad School at the NWFASA Conference
 Met students all over the NW (CWU, PSU, UO, OSU, GU, WSU, WWU, etc)
o NWFASA Conference, Luau, Powwow, Fiesta were all successful!

 Policy considerations that students feel on differential tuition
 Not a presentation for or not for differential tuition
o Provost Proposed Budget proposal for the 2012-2013 Budget
 Model for 14%, 16%, 18% tuition increases
 Advocating for 16%
 Student Regent don’t know any numbers
 Keep Husky Promise and higher level of FinAid
o Student Regent Forum in Senate tomorrow, April 24th

o Work on bringing the candidates to SAB
