Team Captains (TC’s) are heavily involved in the delivery of our University Games Program and are required to represent FedUni on behalf of the team at official functions including the Games Opening Ceremony and VIP events.Team Captains (TC’s) play a leadership role in bringing the team together as one, encouraging new and returning students to jell together and ensuring the team represents FedUni admirably. Key Responsibilities 1. Attend Australian University Sport (AUS) official functions including the opening and closing ceremonies for the Southern and Australian University Games. 2. Take an active role in the running of sign up days and team dinners. 3. Lead by example and ensure that FedUni is an inclusive, responsible and united team. 4. Help organise and run whole team functions with the Sport & Recreation Officer. 5. Attend the following leadership workshops and team functions prior to the games; a. Be the Influence Workshop – Friday 8 April (TBC) b. At least one Leadership Workshop as listed on the UniGames moodle shell. c. On campus team send-off lunch. d. All team dinners and meetings while at the games. 6. Reflect and embed University Purpose, Values, Strategies and Priorities when exercising the responsibilities of this position. Remuneration The role of FedUni Team Captain is voluntary however AUS will cover the event registration cost for both the Southern and Australian University Games. TC’s who are also Team Mangers will be eligible for an additional subsidy off their accommodation costs, the amount will be $0 - $175 and is dependent on your performance in relation to the above position summary and responsibilities.
