Position Summary
Team Managers (TM’s) are responsible for enhancing the experience and success of FedUni students at
the 2016 SUG and AUG, and ensuring teams represent Fed Uni admirably.
Key Responsibilities
1. Oversee and coordinate the recruitment and registration of FedUni teams in your respective sport.
2. Pass on important information related to the registration and format of the tournament.
3. Be the team’s contact point for student enquiries and registrations with AUS tournament directors,
advising fixtures and ensuring players turn up on time etc.
4. Meet weekly with the Sport and Recreation Officer on the status of the team, issues etc.
5. Manage various operations and planning related to the team, e.g. uniforms, fundraisers
6. Take an active role in the running of sign up days and team dinners
7. Lead by example and ensure that Fed Uni is an inclusive, responsible and united team.
8. Help organise and run a fair selection trial for your team. The team needs to be selected on ability and
the process needs to be discussed with the Sport & Recreation Officer.
9. Attend the following leadership workshops and team functions prior to the games;
a. Be the Influence Workshop – Friday 8 April (TBC)
b. At least one Leadership Workshop as listed on the UniGames moodle shell.
c. On campus team send-off lunch.
d. All team dinners and meetings while at the games.
10. Reflect and embed University Purpose, Values, Strategies and Priorities when exercising the

Remuneration
The role of a Sport Team Manger is voluntary however team managers who meet the above
responsibilities and requirements in this document will be partially subsidised for their contribution.
The subsidy will be the value of the registration cost for the SUG and/or AUG.
