Rationale The 7th Grade Social Studies class is set up to analyze historical events, people, and ideas from the age of discovery up to the early 20th Century. The class promotes making connections from history to the modern day as we will discuss how historical happenings influence current events and everyday trends. 5. Objectives (3-5 BIG IDEAS) Students will: Make valuable connections between historical events and modern-day-real-world ideas. Understand the importance of using higher level thinking skills in managing real world experiences. Apply technology’s role in making useful connections to the real world.
