Counter-school culture (resistance to
education) produces accommodation
to a capitalist class system because it
prepares the lads for manual labor.
Where there is power, there is
resistance, and yet, or rather
consequently, this resistance is never is
a position of exteriority in relation to

points of resistance (Foucault

Penetrations: impulses within a
cultural form towards the penetration
of the conditions of existence of its
members and their position within the
social whole (119).
Limitations: blocks, diversions and
ideological effects which confuse and
impede the full development and
expression of the impulses of
penetration (119).
Partial penetrations: the interaction of
penetrations and limitations in a
concrete culture (119).
