IN SUPPORT OF THE SPRING LEGISLATIVE PRIORITY SUMMARY

WHEREAS,

WHEREAS, the summary shall be first approved through the
Intergovernmental Affairs Commission; and
WHEREAS, the summary shall then be approved by the full Senate
at the next possible meeting; and

WHEREAS, this process was completed in September 2015; and

WHEREAS, the previous draft must be updated at the start of
10
the new semester; and

WHEREAS, the Intergovernmental Affairs commission unanimously
12
passed the Legislative Priority Summary at its meeting February
13
9th, 2016; and

WHEREAS, the next Student Senate meeting after that passage
is scheduled for February 15, 2016;
BE IT THEREFORE RESOLVED that after much research these policy
17
positions
are
provided
18
(Attachment “A”); and
as
the
Legislative
Priority
Summary

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the UW-Eau Claire Student Senate
20
supports this Legislative Priority Summary and adopts this as the
21
official policy position of the UW-Eau Claire Student Senate; and

BE IT FINALLY RESOLVED that upon passage a copy of this
23
resolution be sent to Dr. James Schmidt, Chancellor; Dr. Patricia

Kleine,

Chancellor, Student Affairs; Dr. Joseph Abhold, Dean of Students;
