Resolution Requesting a Faculty Liason on the Chancellor’s Executive Council (DRAFT) Whereas, the Chancellor receives guidance and input from an advisory committee, the Executive Council; and Whereas, out of approximately eight members, the Executive Council has one representative from Academic Affairs (the Provost), even though the majority of the university’s mission and budget involves Academic Affairs; and Whereas, the faculty most directly implement the university’s mission, including overarching initiatives such as regional engagement and the Quality Enhancement Plan; and Whereas, direct communication between faculty and other divisions of the university will improve coordination and decision-making, Be it resolved that the Faculty Senate strongly requests that an elected Faculty Liason position be added to the Executive Council.
