Irlam & Cadishead Community Committee Consultation 2007 We are trying to find out how we can improve Irlam & Cadishead CAN YOU HELP ? Every year the I&C Community Committee produces a Community Action Plan. This plan lists your ideas on how to make I&C a better place to live and work in. The plan is overseen by your local Community Committee to address actions under the 7 themes listed on the following pages Some of the achievements from last year include: Community Committee grants helped many local community groups and contributed towards salaries for Arts, Sports and Ranger posts Production of the I&C Community Newsletter Health Walks and Family Bike Rides Various holiday programmes for children and young people CCTV installed in Tiger Moth Square and at Irlam Library Anti Social Behaviour initiatives – increase of Community Police Support Officers to 6 Support to Community Festival IT training courses at libraries and New Life Church Re-furbishment of the George Thomas playground and Cadishead Park entrance Friends’ of Irlam Station group set-up (Sunday service re-instated) / Link Bus service no 67L introduced for Higher Irlam estate Partnership Working Award won for the work being done by the Parks and Opening Spaces Group in I&C One of the many activities organised by the I&C Ranger George Thomas play area refurbishment The spectacular Community Festival Fishing Club set up for young people Quarterly editions produced Landscaping of Cadishead Park entrance
