Review • The responses given at the Community Committees were received and have been read. • From the responses given here are some of the things that are being carried out in the local area in relation to diet, physical activity and smoking Diet – what the neighbourhood mgt team are doing • Young parents cookery group • Community allotments growing scheme • Land and produce group supporting farmers Physical activity – what the neighbourhood mgt team are doing • Regular kurling events • Regular health walks for all different members of the community • Local bike rides within and around Irlam • Junior fishing club being set up Smoking – what the neighbourhood mgt team are doing • Aiming to set up a stop smoking drop in clinic in local area • As from 1st July 2007 smoking will be banned in all public buildings
