Administrative Assistant I Purpose Purpose: The Administrative Assistant I - Development Assistant serves as a key member of the Office of Development Leadership Gifts team and provides necessary support for the Director of Development - Leadership Gifts for the Schools of Architecture and Urban and Public Affairs to ensure success in securing major gifts. Essential Functions Function 1: Responsible for managing all administrative functions for the Director of Development Leadership Gifts for Schools of Architecture and Urban and Public Affairs, including correspondence, files, e-mail, voice mail, travel arrangements, calendar management and ordering office supplies and equipment. 25 % Time Function 2: Maintains Raiser's Edge database records to track donor activity and record updates. Manages confidential information. 25 % Time Function 3: Schedules internal and external meetings and prospect appointments. Prepares correspondence and briefing materials for donors and prospects. 25 % Time Function 4: Responds to inquiries by phone, in person, or by mail. Assists with preparation of solicitation materials. 15 % Time Function 5: Prepares documents regarding expenditures. Qualifications Required Qualifications: Bachelor's degree with one (1) year upper level secretarial experience OR high school graduation or equivalent with five (5) years of increasingly responsible administrative, secretarial, and clerical experience. Excellent organizational and communication skills. Ability to prioritize workload for timely completion of important tasks. Ability to maintain confidential information.
