Executive Director Purpose Purpose: The Executive Director is responsible for all aspects of management of the units financial, operational and administrative functions and has strategic responsibility of these functions. The Executive Director ensures that the unit's financial and operational goals and objectives are communicated and met. Essential Functions Function 1: Directs the financial and administrative operations of the Division for Enterprise Development including the guidance and supervision of the Division's Directors and Managers. 20 % Time Function 2: Responsible for hiring and directing staff in the Accounting, IT, Warehouse and Administrative operations of the Division following all established policies and procedures. Evaluates performance and makes decisions related to discipline and discharge of staff. 15 % Time Function 3: Formulates job descriptions and posts jobs in HRMS to ensure the Division is attracting and recruiting a talented and diverse workforce. Directs all personnel actions to ensure timely resolution in accordance with established policies and procedures 15 % Time Function 4: Responsible for policy development, implementation and interpretation for assigned functions. 5 % Time Function 5: Oversees and monitors business unit performance and advises leadership on solutions. Responds to business unit needs for financial and administrative support. 10 % Time Function 6: Develops and monitors the annual budget, including a mix of federal, state and program revenue. Has oversight of all budgets and analysis of operating results. Makes decisions for operational improvements based on analysis. Coordinates longrange planning initiatives with leadership and staff to ensure attainment of strategic goals. 10 % Time Function 7: Assists in development, coordination and monitoring of federal, state, or local grant applications and contracts. 15 % Time Function 8: Provides leadership for effective relationships with all clients groups and funding agencies 10 % Time Marginal/Incidental Functions Marginal/Incidental Functions: Other related functions as assigned. Qualifications Required Qualifications: Bachelor's degree and ten years experience in accounting, human resources, finance and operations management positions. Five years management experience in a nonprofit setting. Five years experience with grants and contracts. Ten years supervisory experience. Excellent interpersonal and analytical skills.
