I. ORDER OF BUSINESS
*Call to Order @12:03*
A. Roll Call and Welcome Guests
Present: President Turner, Vice President Dixon, Treasurer Prasad,

Student Affairs Ragudo, Technology Haroun, Environmental Affairs

This portion of the meeting is reserved for persons desiring to address the SCC ASG on any
matter on the agenda. No action will be taken. Speakers may be limited to two minutes.
II. REPORTS
A. President’s Reports- 2 mins.

B. Vice President’s Reports-2 min.
Looking for votes on GA
C. Treasurer Report- 2 mins
Turner: Donated $500.00 to donation to go into general funds and $300.00 goes
for Washington D.C. trip.
Prasad-ASG Spring 2010-2011 Finance Spreadsheet handout
This will help with the money situation after gone by letting how much
money is in each of the accounts. These are just pending amounts some still need
to be processed.
D. Commissioner Reports- 12 mins.
1.) Public Relations, Com. Snuggs ( Not Here)
*Turner spoke a little about that we are not going with the guy who was
airbrushing because he wants the money upfront.
2.) Legislative Affairs, Com. Miller
*Getting the letters that you have written and give them to me so that I can
get them out to Governor Brown.
3.) Environmental Affairs, Com. Simonsen
*Planning for Earth Day, Ragudo has something so they are going to get
together.
4.) Student Affairs, Com. Ragudo
*The funeral event that we want to get together and still go through with
the plans.
*Still needs to get the times, date, and location down and lock them in so
that we can have it finalized. Recognize the bad words.
Carter- Cultural Exchange and Color Coalition explain a little more about
these so everyone has a clear understanding of what it is to everyone.
Ragudo- Cultural Exchange= They are the morals and beliefs of different
people and how their culture is. Color Coalition= It is groups of clubs that
share their resources of their clubs and that outreach to students for
elementary school, junior high, and high school students.
Carter- Are the Cultural Exchange and Color Coalition got to work with
Cultural Awareness Center and ICC (Inter-Club Counsil)
5.) Technology, Com. Haoun
*Make sure that everyone gets their personal stuff that is not related to
ASG that you have on the computers as soon as possible.
*Still looking at different camcorders with better prices.
Turner- Just an idea maybe look into making a DVD for the students
around campus and seeing if we can get it for the D.C. trip.
6.) ICC president, President Carter
*Finally elected on board and it is a working organization, QSA developing
and working with the district. Filming students that were negative against
others ways of lifestyles by helping lower the suicide rate.
E ASG Advisor (Action as necessary), Beyrer- 2 mins.
*I am working with Anna Fralikhina, Emma Snuggs, and Rich Ragudo on
meeting for elections and if the flyer that will be put together and will it encourage
students to vote for the elections.
* Club Day is after elections
March 3rd will be elections and March 1st packets will go out for elections.
*Ragudo- Make sure that you get a request form to him for club day.
*Move to have a table out during club day.

III. ACTION ITEMS:
A. March in March T-Shirts- (Com. Snuggs)
Decide the design of the March in March T-Shirts. (4 min)
*move to postpone due to the fact that Snuggs is not present

B. General Assembly- (Vice President Dixon)
Bring 20 people, which the board would be going and open to left over amount to student body
plus advisor to represent SCC at the Senate General Assembly (NTE $12,000.00) (4 Min)
*For the board and guest
*Turner- Anyone who wants more information and wants to go see Dixon, the
process will close Friday.
*Beyrer- Chris is unable to go
*Used to be 8 dollars now $5.00 for sizes(small-xl) $6.00 for sizes(xxl-xxxl)
*Use another shirt vendor
*Move to approve the logo- Motion by Dixon 2nd by Prasad
*Discussion:
Rhodes- Do we another option on what the logo will look like.
Prasad- Would it be possible to get a design from someone else and then give
credit to them.
Turner- Doesn’t matter but will check on it
Ragudo- If 250 shirts how will everyone get one?
Turner- First come, First serve
Beyrer- Faccility requests
Haroun- Maybe get a digital copy so that we can put on website for others to see.
Prasad- What is the Process?
Turner- we will keep them affordable
Dixon- Last year 20 -30 students got them because some were in class.
Turner- Due to the budget crisis the government wants to cut all athletics from
Community Colleges throughout the state of CA.
VOTE On G.A- Yes (11) No (0) Present (1) PASSED
C. SCC host a breakfast at General Assembly-(President Turner)
SCC will be the first campus to host a breakfast at G.A. for 112 colleges around state (NTE
$9000-.00) (4 Min)
Turner- Let’s try to get donations for breakfast at G.A.
*We would be the first campus to ever put our logo up it would be our show their
dance.
*$12,000.00 is to the rights 9000 students their speech on higher education.
* We represent ourselves but keep funded to represent other school
D. SCC SAC Logo- (Tech Com. Haroun)
Having the ASG board look at a new design for SAC brand and logo for SCC
Haroun- If anymore inputs let me know.
Beyrer- This new design is only for senate.
Turner- Logo for CAEB
Point of QuestionPrasad- Are we voting on the Panther logo that is being passed around that
is on the paper?
Turner-Voting on Student Senate
VOTE ON SCC SAC LOGO- Yes (10) No (1) Present (1) PASSED
Turner- We all have changes, no letterhead with the new logo constitution to be ratified.
Dixon- We are not Student Government, we are Student Senate
Prasad- Logo it is unfair to ICC and CAEB
Turner- We can put on agenda
No orders till everything can be ratified
Simonsen- New board can vote when the new elected students come in just trying to get
ahead.
Turner-Make an agenda request and turn in form.
IV. DISCUSSION ITEMS:
A. Transfer Discussion (Richard Erlich) (3 Min)
Erlich- Share events this Spring and the connection has not been strong with us so
maybe lets have more events(gave out handout). Share career opportunities all
throughout colleges and gather together.
Johnson- Partner Community Colleges with CSU and UC
Dixon- Is this information electronically available to get.
Erlich- Yes
Carter- Can you come to the ICC meetings and address the ICC board as well.
Simonsen- How can we help with this program
Erlich- Prefer to come to these meetings where there are other students/ leaders from
the community. We want the events but we want don’t want just faculty/ staff
because if there are students it is more meaningful.
Point of contact- Lara will take on the information that will come from them and
bring it back to the board and give us a report/ update on everything.
Ragudo- Is it possible that if we want to attend meetings and leave suggestions?
Erlich-Yes
B. ASG Goals: (Commissioner Simonsen) (3 Min)
Simonsen-Reminder for our goals we came up with advocacy to promote students.
*We need to function as a team rather than one
Turner-If you have any questions talk to Simonsen after meeting.
C. ASG MEETING PROCOL and PARLIMENTARY PROCEDURE:
**(Parlimentary Williams) (3 Min)
Williams*If you have any comments those must be addressed to the chair as well as
questions and the chair gets to decide.
*During debate to say to others to convince them on motion and if questions then
ask chair and that it can deduct from debate.
*If you interrupt those points of information must be recognized by chair. If the
chair wants to know more on it he can ask other person. Then I rise to point of order
after debate and then anyone can call to question.
Prasad- If it is call to question then it does not need a motion on table.
D. ASG DRESS Code and ICC Collaboration (ICC President) (5 Min)
Carter- dress code we need to present ourselves make great steps. Come to ASG
meeting in ASG shirt, business shirt/ attire. If not then don’t show at all. Decisions
mad and then broken than events and ides tossed around that should be left up to ICC.
ICC is apart of organization we need to utilize it as a whole.
Turner-Just like others. 1 TEAM 1 FIGHT
E. SCC BANNER with the new SAC Logo: (President Pro Tem Cofield) (3 Min)
Logo new name change for March in March coming up, no ratification. Money from
ASG in the future.
