Course Title: Dance Performance IV
Course Description: Continuation of DANC 2151.
Course Credit Hours: 1
Lab Hours: 3
Prerequisite: Audition
Student Learning Outcomes: Upon successful completion of this course, students should be able to do the following:
1. Understand that all artistic expression is built on each individual's inner expressiveness; that dance is a form of artistic expression whose language utilizes the movement of the human body; that movement is incomplete as dance unless it involves expressiveness of the dancer.
2. Develop critical thinking by becoming an articulate and precise artist with self knowledge, sensitivity and understanding of other dance styles.
3. Develop aesthetic knowledge and awareness of dance as an art form.
4. Gain knowledge and to execute dance concert production process.
5. Develop communication skills, leadership abilities, discipline, responsibility and joy into the process of auditioning, rehearsing, producing and performing.
6. Develop positive, functional and effective, working attitudes and habits in the areas of personal preparation, artistic engagement, rehearsal, production and performance.
7. Understand the value of dance as a lifetime fitness activity.
